Full Stack Developer
Description

You will be working in the IT Development team and collaborating on improving our YPB Connect platform and various support systems and utilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop back-end and extended functionality for YPB Products
• Utilise and develop APIs to build applications and connect diverse systems such as CRM, e-commerce, accounting and messaging systems or services.
• Develop software through the entire software development lifecycle while adhering to agile methodologies.
• Design, Code and Unit Test PHP code within and outside of YPB Connect environment
• Project Estimation for maintenance and new projects
• Learn new tools and techniques for building great software.
• Optimise AWS infrastructure, perform performance tests, deployments, and propose improvements.
• Bring your own expertise to share with the staff and add to your experience by learning from others in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
• MUST HAVE experience of 2-3 years minimum in PHP Symfony or other frameworks AND JavaScript Based languages (Nodejs, VueJs, AngularJs).
• Experienced in database design and optimization such as MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, Aurora
• Knows agile development practices, thinks they’re awesome, and is excited to use them.
• Experience with Git as a version control tool.
• Ability to build and consume RESTful web services.
• Comfortable with basic DevOps technologies in the *nix world, such as a variety of Linux flavors, Git, Docker, Travis, continuous integration approaches, shell scripting, Apache, Nginx, MySQL, Redis, DNS, HTTP.
• Knowledge in NoSQL databases
• Experience with Cloud based deployments and configurations, preferably AWS is a PLUS.
• Github/Open source contributions are a PLUS.
